LolaDub Xtina Talks Childhood, Babies and Sex! Jul 2, 2008 5:40 AM Christina Aguilera was interviewed for the upcoming issue of Glamour Magazine. In the mag Xtina really opens up about her childhood, how motherhood has changed her and how Jordan and her get alone time together. Read tidbits from the interview below: GLAMOUR: Despite your tough childhood, you grew up into a solid person. What do you think when you see people in your industry, like Amy Winehouse, self-destruct? Christina Aguilera: I'm not a judgmental person, so I can't comment on someone else's background. [As for me], I think I've always had a strong sense of self. My mom brought me up to believe that my talent is a gift and a blessing. But I have definitely made some mistakes that I would never do again. GLAMOUR: Like what? Christina Aguilera: When I was 21 and made Stripped, I was pretty distraught about some personal issues coming up from my past. I was going out and partying a lot--as people do at that age--and did some very unhealthy things to deal with the pain. But I was able to say, "OK, hold on." GLAMOUR: So how do you manage nowadays to avoid paparazzi? Christina Aguilera: A lot of people go out of their way [to be photographed]; I make a conscious effort to keep me and my family out of the limelight. The other day a paparazzo actually pulled up to my husband on the street and said, "Geez, I know the new house is big, but I've been trying to get a picture of you for months--you never leave the house!" And it's true: I'll go out at night after spending time with my son, but [during the day] I just hang out on my grounds, taking him for walks in the stroller in the backyard where we won't be seen. GLAMOUR: How do you manage to make time for yourself? Christina Aguilera: Obviously I didn't do anything today--you're not allowed to look at my nails! GLAMOUR: How has your relationship with Jordan changed since the baby? Christina Aguilera: It's brought us closer--we're bonded together for life. Relationships and great marriages are a whole learning and growing process. We're just great teammates. GLAMOUR: So, how do you guys keep things sexy these days? Christina Aguilera: We make sure we have Mommy and Daddy nights out. Our child comes first, obviously, but there are certain things you can do: Once we know he's in good hands, we go out late at night and have a few drinks. Then we'll come home, dim the lights and do our thing--and I'm not going into any more detail than that! http://www.hollyscoop.com/christina-aguilera/xtina-talks-childhood-babies-and-sex_16674.aspx

LolaDub News On Xtina's Upcoming Album Jun 12, 2008 5:25 AM Christina Aguilera is indeed a working mother. She is ready for a new album and she wants something pretty different and futuristic. Her friend and musical director, Rob Lewis says that Aguilera took them to Kanye West's concert to analyze his work because she's thinking of working with him. Rob says, "When I talked with Christina in Vegas about a week and a half ago, she was concerned about how she would sound vocally, because she hasn't been singing much at all...since TOUR! So I asked her had she been recording, and she said that she was working on some things, but not really singing. (Of course, Christina sounded powerful and great as usual) I know that for this next album, she wants to go to more of a "futuristic" sound. She invited me and Sasha to accompany her and Jordan to the Kanye West concert in LA, where the whole time, we analyzed his performance, the staging, the music, etc. She even asked my thoughts on a collaboration between him and her... I don't quite know where she is in the recording process. I usually help her produce her vocals for all of her recordings, outside of the records she does with Linda Perry, and will most likely become involved when she starts to record from home. But I can tell you that what you will see and hear from Christina will be different, original, and probably against the grain: the true form for Christina...always re-creating herself." A Kanye and Christina collaboration would be AWESOME!! Both are talented beyond belief and it would be really exciting to hear what they come up with. http://music.hollyscoop.com/christina-aguilera/news-on-xtinas-upcoming-album_817.aspx
